Using SQL Analyzer through an Apple Airport Extreme Wireless connection?

At home I use Macintosh Computers and an Apple Airport Extreme Wireless Base Station. When I connect to the network from my work laptop (Windows XP), everything works except I am unable to connect to the SQL server using SQL Query Analyzer. People at work say it may be my router, but I would like to believe there is a way around this. Anyone have any ideas on how I could by pass this issue without having to buy a non-Apple router?
