It is very simple to use, attaching and detaching quickly so you can easily move your computer to another area, or take it with you on your travels. Most customers do express to us they would prefer not to remove the stand because they purchased the iMac as a portable system.

The parts are manufactured in high-grade, aircraft aluminum steel and a durable powder-coat finish is applied to the adapter bracket. I wanted the adapter kit to be suitable for the elegant iMac, to look like a part of the computer, and I have accomplished this. The Kit provides the correct interface to attach the iMac to VESA-compliant mounting systems having the 100 x 100mm (4" x 4") hole pattern.

Can I remove the Intel iMac aluminum stand for easy transport ?

The 24" ones can definitely be removed as they can be wall-mounted. Don't think the 20" offers the same option.
