Will Apple Replace My Ipod Touch?

Okay here are the details on the situation. Today i was at this water park and on my way to dropping all my stuff off at the lawn chairs i got splashed with some dumping bucket of water. My 16 gig ipod touch got wet (barely), enough so that it wont turn on, my computer wont recognize it, etc. it's dead. I bought it from Macmall.com 2 weeks ago and it is not under warranty. I was wondering if apple will replace my ipod under these conditions if i were to bring it into the store and just tell them it quit working.
