What is a Low Profile Bracket Kit?
I want to buy the GeForce 6200 256MB Video Card (VGA/DVI/S-Video). It says it is "Low Profile". What does this mean, and should I also buy the kit?
I will only use it to support 1680 resolution and plug the S-video cable into my older TV.
A low profile bracket is an adapter to make a low profile video card with a standard bracket fit into a low profile system.

The connections on the brackets vary from card to card, but those pictures should give you the big idea. Some video cards include them, some don't. You'll need to see what's included with the card.

In reply to your second comment, S-Video will not handle a 1680(1680x1050) resolution. It usually only supports 1024x768 or lower. 1680 resolution is only attained with VGA, DVI, Component, or HDMI connections. So the S-Video won't give you that high resolution on an old tv, but will still work at 1024x768 if that is ok with you. It's only worth that resolution if you have an old CRT over 37 inches, otherwise I'd suggest getting a new monitor.
