Should I buy a gig bag or a hard case for my ukulele?

Okay so I'm going to Texas in the summer to visit family and I wanted to bring my ukulele. Im not sure what kind of bag to bring since the climate is hot there. Also Im bringing it with me on the plane.

I have a soft/hard case. It has the protection of a hard case on the outside with the cushion of a soft case on the inside.
