How do I repair a crack in my laptop's casing?
I have a Dell inspiron 1525, and there is a crack on one of the cylinder cover on hinges. Specifically the one that's to the right. It's also connected to the LCD cover. Now it doesn't close and if I move it too much the two pieces of the casing around the LCD separate. Now the casing sticks out around that hinge, and I can't push it in to close.
I did a quick google search, and found out that I can buy the piece I need online, if I really have too.
So is it possible to fix this at home or do I have to go to a repair shop?

Oh yeah, I circled the hinge that's cracked here.

Believe it or not that's a relatively easy fix. You should buy the part just so you can protect your screen but it's not necessary. You could remove the jagged edge of the screen cover and call it good but I wouldn't recommend it.
You can actually read the service manual available on Dell's site on how to replace the part.
