I have a cdrw drive and a dvd drive neither will play dvds?

I have to seperate drives in my computer both a cdrw and a dvd rom neither play dvds or newer games or such. I changed both drive and the mother board download a new copy of xp and changed all cables only thing i never changed was the hardrives and the ram there is more then enough space on both tho ne ideas what can be wrong with this computer even geek squad had no answers thanks

You can only play DVD's in the DVD drive. Make sure the jumpers on the back of the drives are set right. Primary and secondary.
