My old computer broke some time ago and now I have a new computer.
I have some pictures and data saved in the memory of my old computer that I would like to transfer to a disc before I trow the old broken computer to the garbage or recycle it.

well, if ur computer (i'm assuming its a desktop) doesn't boots at all then, u can remove the hard disk off it & attach it 2 an appropiate 'hard disk case', which is comonly available in market now a days. And after that u can access all the data on it, just like an external hard disk.
