video editing takes a lot of cpu power and to an extent, graphics power too. The t3400 in the laptop is on the weak side, and may lag sometimes. The integrated graphics is also on the weak side. Try to upgrade to a core 2 duo with at least 2 ghz for better video editing performance. And possible get a discrete graphics card: any Nvidia or ati radeon would be fine for video editting.
