Make sure you didn't unseat your graphics card when you installed your ram. If it's giving you a certain series of beeps when it starts up, it could be that the RAM is bad.

First check if the GPU is properly seated though. Next take out the new stick of ram and see if the video turns on. If not, then you have bad ram and need to RMA it.
