What is the best VHS/DVD combo to convert videos to DVDs?
I have lots of video tapes, and I want a machine that will play them while burning them onto DVDs. What is a good durable machine I can buy, and where can I get it? Also, how much should I expect to pay?
I have some old movies, too, and I'd like a self contained machine that plays and records VHS and DVDs.

If your looking to transfer non-copyrighted material (ie, no studio movies) from vhs to dvd and you have a working vhs player, grab the Sony VRD-MC5. Its a device that lets you record any video source to a DVD.
Quite handy.
