To fix this problem, you can look into the instruction about the priority of PCI slots in your motherboard manual, and then take out the conflicting device and plug it into another free PCI slot with a higher priority. Step 1 Click Start and select Control Panel.

Step 2 Click System twice to open the System Properties sheet.

Step 5 Right-click this controller and select Properties.

Step 6 Click Resources and choose IRQ in the Resources Settings list.

Step 7 Cancel Use automatic settings, choose Change Setting and click OK.

Then system will reassign a new IRQ for your net card, finally you will see No conflicts in the Conflicting device list.

my computer doesnt have an ethernet card as i took it out - can you get a usb key to convert into an ethernet card?
