Now, just as no human is perfect, so as no computer is perfect, the features of Macbook tend to be passed down from one generation to another, which mean, you cannot expect any major changes soon. And yes the price tag is definitely one of its major setback, in comparison to other low end laptop of its class, Macbook is way too expensive, and teenagers and young adults that have only a few pennies in their pocket would surely avoid it. For the price, and the specification, one can pay much less for computer of the same specification of other brand. Mabooks have no SD card reader, only one extra USB port, and one HDMI output.

Download music from MacBook to Blackberry Storm?

Hello! I just bought a new Blackberry storm and would like to download music from my iTunes onto it. Is this possible? When I connect the USB cord to my MacBook and my Blackberry Storm nothing happens. Can somebody possibly give me step by step directions on how to download from my iTunes to my phone? I greatly appreciate it. Thank you in advance!

Problem #1: Unfortunately, iTunes tracks have DRM (digital rights management) embedded that prevents them from being played on anything except apple devices. The last I heard, Apple was transitioning away from using DRM, but the only way to get the non-DRM version of the tracks is to re-purchase them at a discount. If you have song that are free of DRM restrictions, then read on!

Problem #2: Your MacBook will not know what the BlackBerry is or how to communicate with it until you install interface software and drivers on the computer. There are several different applications available. The officially supported program is named PocketMac and can be downloaded from the BlackBerry website here:

PocketMac doesn't directly support transferring files since it is designed specifically to sync your personal information between the Storm and the Mac, but that is not important. The important thing is that it will install the drivers needed for the Mac to communicate with the device. When you plug the device into the Mac now, it should appear as a drive, similar to if you were plugging a thumb (USB) drive into the Mac.

You should now be able to copy files to the media card of the Storm by navigating to it just as you would any other directory or drive on your computer. Remember to copy the music files to the music subdirectory on the media card, and avoid copying it to the internal memory.
