If you are talking about Assasins Creed 1 and not the new one, yes it will run on your CPU. Don't listen to the others. I had a E1640 which is a 1.6Ghz with 1MB cache with the 8800GT and was getting around 40FPS on 1280x1024 on medium.

It's all down to your graphics card.
