The cost of the hard drive. Pay no mind to the clueless Windows user in the other answer. Replacing the hard drive in an iMac is much easier than replacing anything in a typical PC. By loosening three captive screws the entire back comes off the iMac, and the "whole thing" is opened up for access. The hard drive is held in by three screws.
