5. How big is it and how heavy is the laptop computer. This may seem like an odd question, but, if our laptop has to be carried around school, college, university or endless business meetings, it is important to know how much weight will be carried around.

6. What operating system does the laptop computer use? Is it Windows or Macintosh?

How much does it cost to get an iMac's hard drive upgraded?

I currently have a 250 GB HD (233 of which are usable) in my iMac. I want to break the bond between me and my 'shudders' Dell, and I want to upgrade my hard drive to 500 GB (250 for Mac, 250 for Windows). If possible, how much does it cost? Also, what version of Windows do you recommend (among Vista)? Lastly, should I do other upgrades to run Vista smoothly on my Mac? Thanks, your answers are always appreciated!

The cost of the hard drive.

Pay no mind to the clueless Windows user in the other answer. Replacing the hard drive in an iMac is much easier than replacing anything in a typical PC. By loosening three captive screws the entire back comes off the iMac, and the "whole thing" is opened up for access. The hard drive is held in by three screws.
