Can I run Need For Speed Carbon?

If I have an apple Macbook (2.0 Ghz Core 2 Duo, Dual-Layer Superdrive, 2 GB RAM) could I run Need For Speed Carbon on Parallels or BootCamp even though I don't have Direct3D (I'm assuming I don't have Direct3D which is proprietary to Microsoft and Im on OSX)? The video processor meets demands (64 MB) plus with 2 GB of RAM and, assuming the game can take advantage of dual cores, 4 theoretical Ghz, it might be enough to outweigh the video card. So the main question: Can I run it without Direct3D or do I need a PC, and if i cant run it with DIrect3D, then can I get a similar thing that emulates it? Oh and one last thing: Does the Macbook Pro have Direct3D (it might because it has an NVidia grahics card vs. Intel built-in on the Macbook) and could it run NFS?

The most important thing that u need to play computer games on computer is the Graphics Card. The better the Graphics Card, the better your Game would look like. you can play Carbon with having 1.5 ghz processor and 512ram with a better then average graphics Card

u need Graphics Card to See Graphics. ur processor or ram is not going to make Graphics for you.

As for Direct 3D, I THink that Carbon's system requirment states Direct 3d v9 or better and without 3d Graphics, u cant see 3d on ur computer. and cannot play the game.

And if u r not sure about this 3d stuff. go to microsoft website and download the Direct x 3d from them.

I dont know the last Question but if it has Nvidia and is built after 2002, then my best guess would be yess.
