What are the disadvantages of formatting SATA hard disk too often?

I have formatted my hard disk 14 times in a period of 7 months. I have only one partition. The other unpartitioned is for the windows files storage I think. Is there any disadvantage of formatting hard disk?

as a matter of fact, to the harddisk formatting is actually writing data to the HD except that its adding blank data.
So formatting too much means writing more the harddisk making it more "
"used" so you no if an item get too "used", it usually spoils the disc.
