How do I add the shared RAM on my GeForce card?

I have dedicated 128mb and it shares maximum 512mb of my RAM. I don't know exactly how it works, but I'm guessing the GPU only eat ups the remainder of the RAM currently unused.

Your graphics card uses Turbo cache to share RAM but it is done dynamically. In 2D mode, it does not share RAM. In 3D mode it will share RAM depending on the graphics detail of the game. However, since you only have 1Gb installed RAM, I doubt if 512Mb will ever be shared for graphics. You need at least 2Gb installed RAM (more if using Vista). The operating system will usually not share RAM to a certain point that the applications will suffer from LOW available RAM.
