iBook G3 Clamshell best version of OS X it will run?

What version of OS X would run best on a graphite 466MHz iBook G3 Clamshell with 320mb of RAM & a 9gb HD??

I'd install OS X Panther... yes, your iBook has the specs to run Tiger, but it's probably going to lag since half of your HDD space is taken by just the OS itself! So I recommend installing Panther or lower just to keep the performance of your iBook at a nice, tolerant speed.

Another option is upgrading your iBook... I've seen the same model iBook that you have on eBay with 512MB RAM and a 40GB HDD. Tiger should run pretty good with those specs.
