Is there anything I can do to make it smoother? I have recently added a lot of songs and a new program or 2 to the computer, so maybe that is what is causing it? The problem is that you're trying to use 5 year old tech (one of the lowest points for Apple hardware, actually) with modern multi-media. I sometimes use my old 1.0GHz G4 and even that has trouble with many web video sites. YouTube is fine, but some of the higher bandwidth sites like Hulu bring it to it's knees. The slow processor is the problem and there's nothing you can do to fix that short of buying a new machine. Contrary to what Apple says, you can bump that machine to 1152MB of ram with a 1GB stick. I upgraded mine, and it does work better. Not perfect, but much better. Your best bet is to shut EVERYTHING down. Be sure you have only the one browser window open and no other applications running. Open ActivityMonitor to see if there may be other user processes running as well. You never know. That will also show you what's up.
