Desktop Computer Upgrade Question?
I am looking to considerably update my P4 and x1950 pro in early August/late July and wanted to know the answers to the follwing Questions:
When is the NV 9900GT being released and at what price?
What price will the new intel nehalem be when released?
Would the aforementioned CPU fit in a socket LGA 775 Mobo? and if not what mobo would it fit in?
Thanks a lot in advance for answering any of my questions (it would be prefered if all prices were in GBP (£)).
Thanks again.
The currency doesn't really matter, it was just preference.
No price estimates out for either of those two products yet, a bit too soon for that. Judging by past history, the 9900GT about $200, and Nehalem anywhere from $150-$1000 depending on the model. When converting the price, I would tack on around an extra 20%, stuff tends to be more expensive in Europe. As for motherboards, no they will not use socket 775, so you will need one of the new motherboards designed for Nehalem.
