Is it worth buying a demo macbook?

I'm considering buying a floor model macbook. I know I can still buy the warranty with it but is it more likely to have problems because of overuse? Is it worth it? It retails for 1499.00 plus tax. What should I offer?

I got a demo Mac PowerBook once, and wouldn't do it again unless:

1 I knew more about computers, and
2 a _substantial_ discount was involved

Not setting it up myself made some things a real pain; I'm sure they gave me the password, but damned if I could remember it a year after the fact when I actually needed it.

Still, if I was patient and willing to learn more, it wouldn't have been such a problem -- I think. Mine had no physical^(etc) problems from being a floor model, but I've had a few Mac laptops now, and a couple have had keyboard problems -- not cheap to fix, and of course much more likely with a demo.

Make sure it's a hell of a good deal, you really know how to use a Mac, and you might be fine, though.
