can i keep my laptop on standby while it is in the laptop bag zipped up?

I want to leave my laptop on standby while it is zipped up in my bag but will all of the heat build up and damage my laptop please anwser ASAP i really want to know thanks.

You can keep it in your bag on standby. It will not generate any/enough heat to overheat. It will, however slowly drain your battery. If you leave it in you bag for a few days in standby it will die completely and need to be recharged.
