Laptop Replacement Parts Are Always More Accessible Online
Forget about your local electronics department store—the internet is the place to go when searching for spare parts for your laptop or any other kind of computer. That's because the supply is much greater in proportion to the demand, and so prices are more accessible and the entire process of either acquiring new electronics equipment or selling it is much easier. Anything from a laptop dvd drive to a new screen or a whole new motherboard, you can find what you need on the web thanks to the scores of different online companies offering precisely such services and products.
The boom of such businesses essentially is due to the necessity which as a society we have to find more intelligent and environmentally friendly alternatives to the way we dispose of and use electronics equipment of all sorts and kinds. As our society began amassing greater and greater volumes of electronics equipment in our homes and shops and electronic waste in our landfills, the urgent need to implement some sort of adequate control structure began to be ever more apparent; until at present, it is possible to speak of a veritable plague of electronics waste, or e-waste, that is threatening to put an already delicate ecological balance deeper into crisis. The proportions of this affair are truly astounding, and represent the strong consumerism which has defined the US for so long: on average, in America several millions of different electronics components are thrown away into the trash every year—ending up in places where they ultimately put the quality of ground water and soil in jeopardy. Yet there is a way to change all this, fortunately.
By being more conscious of the way we acquire, use and dispose of electronics equipment such as the laptops and cell phones we use every day it is possible for us to put an end to this worrisome situation. The trick lies in ample recycling and refurbishing services, such as those offered by the many online businesses currently in a period of boom mentioned earlier. Anybody searching for that laptop dvd drive that they desperately need can acquire one at a good price for value because the person that had a laptop dvd drive to dispose of chose to sell it instead of simply chucking it in the trash.
That is the kind of mentality we need in order to overcome the serious problem that is e-waste—a mentality averse to senseless wastefulness. There are so many things that the average person throws away instead of donating or recycling—or better yet, selling at a not-that-bad price—simply because they are either unaware of the fact that a more intelligent form of disposal of that particular item exists or, worse, because they are too lazy or careless to do so. Yet hopefully through sufficient public awareness campaigns, the person that does have a laptop dvd drive that they don't need any more or that doesn't work any more will choose to sell it or make some sort of productive use out of it, so that it can be restored to working conditions and sold to a person that wants it.

How to format a laptop without dvd drive?
My laptop isn't working, I think it has virus. When I turn on, it appears a blue screen. I want to format the laptop, but the dvd/cd drive isn't working. I mean the dvd/cd drive has been broken for a long time. Is there anyway to format a laptop without using the dvd/cd drive. I have the Window XP cd.
Please help me. Thank you.
You might be able to use an external CD/DVD drive to do the installation. You could also slave the drive in a desktop with a working CD/DVD drive (you'll need a 2.5" to 3.5" hard drive adapter), wipe the drive, make it a system disk so you can boot from it or have a 98 startup disk handy (which actually wouldn't be much help since most laptops don't have floppy drives anymore...), copy the contents of the XP CD over, and start the installation from the hard drive (I know you can do that with Windows 95 and 98, but I'm not 100% certain about XP, although I don't know why it shouldn't work).
