Powered by an Intel Core Duo Processor, they also feature displays ranging from 10 inch to 17+ inch displays. The Powerbook also has an interesting feature that the windows laptops do not feature this is a magnetic energy connector known as a Magsafe. In the older versions of the Apple computers the plug when yanked it would easily be broken off, so the newer Mac computers have the Magsafe power adapter is the power connector which can be found in the MacBook and the MacBook Pro use. Today when i turned on my laptop the Macintosh HD icon showed up where i had to click it for it to go to the?

I'm not 100% sure what you're describing, but it sounds like there might be a problem with the preference file setting for the startup disc. A couple of things to do,

Go into System Preferences and then Startup Disc. Re-select your Macintosh HD drive as the startup disc. Then quit system prefers. Just re-inforce the setting.

Next, go to Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility. Click on your drive from the list on the left. Run the Repair Permissions command. After that's done shut down.

On restart, hold down Command-Option-P-R (all 4, be quick). Keep holding them down until you hear the start up chime twice. After the second chime let go of all keys and let it boot up normally.

Hopefully this can flush out some cobwebs that might be causing the problems.
