Full HD LCD with HDMI port or Full HD Without HDMI port or LED LCD?Which is better according to price,quality?

I know that LED Monitors have very high contrast ratios & are better than normal LCDs. I wanna buy a new LCD of 20 or 22 inch. I just wanna know detailed feature & suggestions from people regarding this.
I also know Full HDs will cost me much money but if it is worth I'm ready for that but if HDMI monitors aren't that much good as compared to LEDs then I'm gonna go for LEDs as they are cheap. Please throw your suggestions.

You don't say what you want to use this screen for!

For watching TV and playing games you probablly won't notice the difference between full HD and lower resolutions at that screen size.

On the other hand if you want it as a computer monitor you want at least full HD resoloution and you also have to watch out when using HDTVs as monitors as many of them fuck up the PC input support applying inappropriate filtering or scaling (for good use as a PC monitor you need a direct 1:1 mapping between the pixels the PC sends and the pixels on the screen) that can't be properly disabled/bypassed. Monitors on the other hand have the issue that there are few inputs and no SD inputs (which is a problem if like me you have a number fo games consoles of different generations to hook up).

Personally I got a LG "monitor TV" (I got the 27 inch version M2762D but there is a 22 inch version which seems to have basically the same specs, these are european models i'm not sure if there are american equivilents) which has a dedicated DVI port for the PC and gets the PC input behaviour right but also has all the TV stuff.

LED backlighting is a good thing but IMO as long as the other specs (viewing angle, contrast ratio) are good enough it's not a deal breaker either way.
