Can a sensor light be installed on a dual switch?

My husband installed motion sensors in the front & back of the house. In the front it works fine, in the back he replace an old light with the sensor and it stays on constantly. The original light had a switch in the bedroom and in the L.R. Does he need to close off one of the switches? He said that there was only one black & one white wire. Any help will be greatly appreciated. TIA

It shouldn't make a difference. Check the instructions for the motion sensor. Many have different "modes" that can be set on the remote sensor or from the indoor switch itself. Turning the switch off and on can put it in a permanent "on" setting.
