Replacing Macbook 2.0 GHz processor with an Intel Core 2 duo 2.4 GHz processor?

I am purchasing a new generation Macbook, 2.0 GHz. I was wondering if this processes slow, if so...could I replace it with the Intel Core 2 Duo Processor? Would this void the Apple Warranty? I realize this is the same processor the more expensive new generation Macbook uses. Would it be a better deal to just drop an extra $300 for the fully-loaded Macbook?

What kind of processor is being described by 2.0 GHz? Is it an Intel Core 2 Duo? If so, that should be fine. I have the same processor in my iMac and it's great. But if you use professional software that requires a lot of memory, I would make sure you have at least 2.6 GHz and at least 3 GB of RAM.
