What kind of monitor would I need with a Mac?

I have a PC at home with all the trimmings. I am getting a Mac for secondary income purposes. Do I need a different monitor for the Mac? Or specific cables/drivers to interface with the Mac tower? It's been YEARS since I have used a Mac, and I don't know how compatible they are with PC hardware anymore. Any info would help, thanks!!
This is a Mac "tower", which by definition, does not include a monitor. It is only the tower. My question was not whether it _needed_ a monitor, but if my PC monitor would be compatible to it. I need to know if Macs have different interfaces or driver protocols that would make it too much effort to try and use my current monitor.

MacGeek is right. You will definitely be able to use your PC monitor with any Mac you buy; No need to worry about drivers. The Mac Pro has two DVI ports so if your monitor uses VGA, simply connect the DVI to VGA adapter which looks something like this:
