USB Modem & Internet Sharing
I dont think so it is possible to create the wireless access points at your home using the USB modem for accessing the internet wirelessly on many computer in the area. So even dont think about it. You cannot share the internet on multiple computers at a time. So dont even think of trying to do that. Properly use the internet using the USB modem on 17" iMac core duo running osX 10.6.2.
You can only access and share the internet on the multiple system at your place using the wireless router only. So configure the wireless router at your home and start enjoying the wireless internet on multiple system without any problem. But this cannot be done using the USB modem internet device. So try this out as soon as possible.
I am not quite sure about this, but i think there is device available from the Apple which can easily do this for you. After that you will be able to access on the multiple system using the access point at your place. But i dont remember the name of that device. So it will be better that you should go to the Apple store and ask for that device. I am sure you will get it from there.
I will advise you to get the Apple's AirPort Express device for this purpose. With AirPort Express connected to your DSL or cable modem, up to 10 users at a time can surf the web, send email, annihilate the competition in multiplayer games, and much more wire-free. AirPort Express connects people to each other as well. You can wirelessly share photos, movies, and other files without having to worry about slow data transmissions.
(PS: i only installed ubuntu yesterday, i have figured it out for he most part, but if it's anything in the terminal, i don't know Ubuntu's terminal just yet, just please in simple language, just no "the little circle thingy" i know about that. this is getting long)
