As a part of Airport security, why couldn't the bomb sniffing dogs just smell everyone's crotch?

I was thinking it would be less invasive than people looking at my old sagging body. Plus wouldn't being scanned many times over be harmful and possibly cause cancer? A dog sniff is annoying for a short bit of time and not that harmful.

Yeah, I agree with you that people who often travel for their jobs could be exposed to an awful lot of radiation.
I think dog sniffing would be less harmful--perhaps not less invasive--but less harmful.
