The Compatibility of Sd Memory Card With Digital Equipments

The SD memory cards known as the “Secure Digital” first began as miniature cards. It is necessary that both the vendor supplied and the native drivers in the (SD) Secure Digital stack communicate with “Secure Digital Bus”. The device drivers call the routines to communication with the “Secure Digital Bus”. These routines are called in the static “Secure Digital Bus library”. When the SD Secure Digital drivers compile, it is necessary that they link to the “Secure Digital SD Bus library”. There are some limitations for the SD device drivers. The “Host Controller Register” is not directly accessible by the Secure Digital device drivers.

how i will connect my sd memory card to my lap top although there is a sd /ms port to my laptop?

i m inserting my sd card to laptop sd/ms card port but it's not detecting or not responding....so how i can use this laptop sd port for my sd card without buying any sd-card reader....please suggest

First, you would need to check your device manager and see if the SD card port is working properly. Right-click on the "My Computer" icon, and then left-click on "Properties". In the window that opens up, click on the "Hardware" tab. Then click on "Device Manager". Scroll down until you find the SD card reader. If it is green, it is working properly. If it has a red "X" on it, it is not working. Double-click on the icon for the SD card reader and see what it says. Depending on what it says, you will either have to run the troubleshooter or perhaps reinstall the device driver. if the reader is working, the issue may be that the SD card itself is not working and needs to be replaced. Occasionally it may say that it is working, but still will not recognize the card. In that case, it is best to start by installing and reinstalling the device driver, and proceed from there.
