Do I need a new battery, or is there something I can do. I've tried to calibrate as told by the manual, played with energy savings, lowered display brightness. Every time I discharge completely and charge fully, I get less and less time.

The only thing besides the calibrating that might help, but very unlikely for a few year old battery, is to run Software Update for a firmware update for the battery.
