can i switch parts?

i just bought a powerbook titanium with a 400 mhz prcessor and was wondering if i could just buy a broken newer powerbook titanium with like a 1.5 ghz processor and just switch motherboards i mean they are just the same computer just the one on ebay has a broken hard drive and screen so could i just switch them because that would save me a lot of money

They won't be compatable if the existing laptop has only a 400mhz processor and you want to upgrade to a 1.5Ghz. Also Laptops are a pain to disassemble. The only thing you can really change with ease is the Harddrive and upgrade the RAM.
