Whichever MacBook you get, get the 2nd level one with the superdrive, double ram & larger hard drive. You'll really want to burn DVDs eventually, if nothing else for data backup. It's a toss one way or the other. The printer will work fine but you'll be spending more on ink cartridges than the printer is worth.
