My sister disagrees with me, I just want to know who is right. So I say that the computer can run SAFELY on only charging it. We already proved that it does run, but not safely yet. She thinks that the battery must be in the laptop at all times, even while charging. Please help us solve this problem. Thank You.

As Jessica said, it's fine but there's a real risk (especially if the Pros use the same magnetic power connection as our standard Macbook?) of the power accidentally being removed and that could cause serious corruption of your OS and/or data.
