is it ok if I use SATA HDD as master to boot windows and IDE HDD as the second hdd?

currently I'm using ASUS P5B-vista edition motherboard with IDE HDD as master to boot windows. is it ok if I want to buy a new SATA HDD to use as master HDD?

Yes you can use the SATA as a master and the IDE as secondary, but you will need to reinstall the OS on the SATA drive. Easiest way is to unplug the IDE drive and install the OS on the SATA drive, then plug the IDE drive in and clear it off.
