It seems that it is glued in there. I have to replace it. It is made in China, what can I expect?... I should had never bought it. Oh well, I appreciate the help. )

The grilles on those particular spekaers are not removable. Most speakers in that price catagory from any manufactures cut costs by not having actual 'grilles', but simply cloth glued onto the cabinet. Contact yamaha and see what they would suggest.
