Is a hard drive worth the extra 30 bucks? i'm looking at asus eee pc's fyi.

SSD are known to be better on battery life and HDD are just a long standing old faithful. Really, the only downside is that normal Flash Memory is not an everlasting thing, while HDD platters will last much, much longer.
