mac wont turn on! please help!?

alright, my friend owns an aluminum 17" powerbook g4 laptop. he was having problems with the screen not lighting up it made the mac startup sound and the fan was running, so i went to ifixit.com to see how to take it apart to tighten the lcd connector. i took everything apart step by step but now the laptop wont turn on at all! if i plug it in the charge light goes on and the battery lights show its charging but nothing else. PLEASE HELP

Seth, you did something wrong. Bite the bullet, take it in to an Apple store and have them repair it. Tell your friend you'll split the cost with him/her.
