Understanding Your Apple IBook Memory

Why was the apple ibook clamshell discontinued?

I used these laptops in school alot and when my laptop that i had for a year crashed i started looking at other laptops to purchase. I liked how the apple ibook clamshell had the colors to it, but i found out that they don't sell in anymore. Was there technicall problems with it and that is why it is no longer avaliable?

There was no problem with it at all, It was, and still is a great computer. Apple discontinued it for the same reason it discontinued the iMac g5, it was getting old, and the made the powerbooks and Macbooks.
I still have one, along with my macbook pro, and it still works fine. You can buy them second-hand, ad they're still great.
But if you sre going to get one, you might as well go for the newer iBook. Or a macbook.
