My musk turtle has a small white furry substance surrounding the bottom side of it's shell.is it ill?

I recently bought a small musk turtle and just a minute ago when i looked at it it had a small lining of furry white bits covering the bottom of it's shell and lining his legs and body, not so much on his head.Is this normal or is it because of illness? I have only had it a few days and it's tank is clean, it's not over or underfed either.

I had the same problem with my turtle that someone gave me. and he was also covered in algae. I had this stuff called Ick Away some kind of fungus remover stuff for my fish and I asked the pet store if I could use it in the turtle’s water and they said I could. So I put a few drops in the water every week. Also the pet store person told me to get a filter, basking ramp, and a light for the turtle and I did all that and my turtle looks very healthy. When I but fresh water in his tank I but 7 drops of Aqua safe with the new BioExtract in it and the water is always clean. I don't know what kind of water turtle my turtle is but its not a musk turtle so I don't know if any of the things I tried will help. But I hope your turtle gets healthy soon
