NTLDR Missing Error fixing itself. Anyone heard of this?

Alright, I'm stumped on this one. I'm a computer technician and recently received a computer with and NTLDR Missing error.
Normally I'd fix this error by popping in the Windows install disc and running the repair feature or by copying the correct files over to the HD. So I began to do this and then determined that this HD needs external SCSI drivers. I didn't have the correct floppy so I let the computer sit while I searched for them.
I then rebooted the computer and it booted into Windows, normally. Everything seems to be running stable and I've tested all important functions.
So my questions is how could the NTLDR error fix itself? Windows could not have repaired it because it didn't recognize the drive without the SCSI drivers. So thus I am stumped as to how this 'fix' occurred. Any suggestions?
I've run the UBCD's Drive Fitness test. There were no errors on either the quick or advanced tests.

hi, I work in IT field for about 7 years. could be some kind electrical problem with signal. you know with windows everything is possible. i had the same problem once with some of .dll files, it fixed by itself as well
