Another great place to shop for Tilt Swivel products is Amazon. They have more than just books! Here are some more information for Tilt Swivel: Super-slim LCD TVs have changed the way that we think about television today. With attractive designs that fit in with any room, and the ability to watch our favourite shows in glorious high definition, we would struggle to go back to the days of enormous TVs dominating the space in our rooms. To help to make the most of your TV you might be thinking about mounting it to the wall, but with so many different types of LCD wall mounts available where do you start? Keep reading for a brief guide as to the different types of LCD wall bracket on the market to help you work out which would be the best for your needs. The Flat Bracket If you would like to make your LCD or Plasma televisions protrude into your room no more than a picture frame, then the flat wall bracket is probably the best solution for you. These LCD brackets are usually suited to larger television sets, though some smaller options are available if you would like to mount a smaller monitor, for example. What to watch out for: if your cables plug into the back of your LCD TV set then you need to check how closely the bracket will fit to the wall. If there's no room for your scart leads you'll need a different bracket. The Tilting Bracket Tilting wall brackets are similar to flat wall brackets in most ways. Your TV will still sit quite closely to the wall, disguising the bracket itself from the rest of the world. The key difference is that you will be able to adjust the angle of your LCD or Plasma television set up and down; ideal for removing that glare from sunlight. What to watch out for: in terms of the different types of LCD wall mounts, tilting wall brackets don't stick out too far from your wall, but be aware that they won't be quite as snug as the flat wall bracket option. For particularly large televisions you might also find that you can't tilt as much as the description says without hitting the wall. The Tilt & Swivel Bracket Tilt and swivel wall brackets are more common for slightly smaller television sets due to the increased flexibility. Models are available for larger TVs but be aware that they will cost more than the mounts we've already covered. As with the tilting bracket, you will be able to adjust the angle of viewing with a tilt and swivel wall bracket. However, now you will also be able to adjust your set by manoeuvring it to the left and the right. What to watch out for: the gap between the wall and the television set can look unsightly from the side, but the increased flexibility achieved from these brackets usually makes the compromise worth it. The Cantilever Bracket For the utmost in flexibility you might consider a cantilever wall bracket. These wall mounts include arms with a concertina effect, allowing you to push your TV back against the wall, or to pull it out and rotate up, down, left or right. This is absolutely ideal if you often need to adjust the angle of your television set. What to watch out for: cantilever wall brackets tend to be more expensive than the other types of LCD wall mounts available so factor that into your buying equation. They are also unlikely to fold as close to the wall as a flat or tilting bracket. Conclusion Only you know the location and position of your LCD TV, and what it needs to be used for. Hopefully this information will have armed you with the basics about the different types of LCD wall mounts on the market today, allowing you to make the best choice for your individual situation. How can I fix a large broken spring under my old solid oak desk chair? It is old and solid oak. It swivels and there is a mechanism below for rocking back & forth. The mechanism is two large heavy metal springs in a housing with no access that I can see. (No bolts or screws to remove for access). One spring looks fine, but the other is in at least two pieces as it has broken It currently gets stuck in odd positions if you don't hold your posture in a particular manner. No longer can I tilt back and forth while pondering life's mysteries. I would like to repair it myself if possible, as I know repairs can be expensive. I really want to save this chair! Any help is appreciated. Thank you!
There are springs in the hardware section of ACE and TRUE VALUE STORES, perhaps there would be one or two there that could be of use. If not check out Tractor and Farm Equipment Stores. Coil Springs are used in various pieces of implements. Keystone Assoc. & Window in Time 127 Main St. (Rear) Seymour, CT **Sunday Feb. 28, 2010** **Auction Time - 5:00PM** Thanks for visiting!
