Can I use a standard USB hub to plug in more than 2 controllers in a PS3?

I just bought a 40 gig, reverse compatible PS3 last night, the only thing I don't really like about it is that there are only 2 USB ports. I have a USB hub that I use on my laptop, where I can plug in one port but frees up 4 more. Will this work to charge more than two controllers at a time with my PS3?

Yes it will work!

However, it is advisable to use a USB hub that has its own power supply otherwise it will suck to much power from the PS3 and could result in damage to your PS3!
