Hard Water Stains - Cheap Ways to Remove Them From Plastic Showerheads

As you may already know, one of the most difficult places to remove hard water stains and limescale is from showerheads. They can be an awkward size or shape and in some cases they are made of expensive plastics making them even more tricky to clean. The most common symptom of blocked showerheads is a reduction in the flow due to the nozzles accumulating a hard limescale deposit.

Using ordinary cleaners to remove hard water stains and limescale on plastic showerheads can be very difficult, but with the right approach they are easily eliminated. With some basic chemistry knowledge you will be able to will dissolve those annoying limescale deposits from your shower unit in no time at all, saving you a lot of time and effort using soap and elbow grease which often a poor weapon.

It is the build up of lime and mineral deposits that can cause the problems on showerheads. Here is how to tackle these deposits on plastic showerheads. Below is a tried and tested technique used specifically for plastic showerhead units, give it a go and watch it eliminate the limescale in no time.

Natural Formula to Use:

1/2 liter of white vinegar, 1/2 liter of hot (not boiling) water

Method to Use:

1. Add the white vinegar and hot water in a small bowl

2. Remove the showerhead from the unit

3. Soak the showerhead in the natural vinegar / water solution for about 1 hour

4. Rinse and then replace the showerhead back onto the unit.

Tips:

Allow the hot solution to cool down completely before removing the showerhead.

What are these white hard bumps around my eye?

I have had these little hard white dots *about the size of a pencil point around the side my eyes. I have been told they are just pimples but they are extremely hard to get rid of. I would like to know a way to get rid of these without going to a professional. Anyone have any advice

Hi. I used to have 3 of them and I hated them. They wouldn't pop and they never went away. I was told by a friend to take a pin and poke at the skin on top of it to loosen it. I then popped it like a pimple and something about the size of half of a grain of rice came out. It was hard and white. I did it to the others and they have never come back and that was about 20 years ago!!! hope that helped...
