Why would my wireless keyboard stop working when it gets close to its receiver?
I've got a small desk, and so my keyboard sometimes cuddles up to the wireless receiver, and randomly ignores some of my keystrokes. I move the receiver away, and things go back to normal.
Why would close proximity interfere with the signal?
its called EMF or electro magnetic field 
...! if i am not mistaken your keyboard will either work on Infrared or a HiFi band transreceiver, and once your wires get cluttered the EM emitted by the wired interfere with the same..so you get a signal loss...thus the missing keystrokes...! hope this helps..! preferebaly isolate your reciever to eliminate the problem.
